The status update
It took a while from the last post. What a productivity.
For the last five years, I've been using Elixir as my main language. It's been a breath of fresh air after switching from Ruby (no offense). BEAM VM gave me confidence and a chance to sleep well at night.
But also I'm curious about Rust and Webassembly for the last few years. Recently, I've finally got more free time and decided to improve my Rust knowledge by contributing into something.
Spin looked like a perfect candidate for dive-in.
Spin is a framework for building, deploying, and running fast, secure, and composable cloud microservices with WebAssembly.
Starting from November I got to the top 5 contributors into spin and feel quite satisfied with it (even though this metric doesn't mean anything per se).
After all, it was fun to get back into oss world after all these years.
